Welcome to
Serving devotees since 1983
Four minutes on foot from the eastern gate. Four decades of looking after families who came for darshan and stayed for the quiet.
Poornima Tourist Home was founded in 1983 by the visionary entrepreneur Shri E.T.Somasundaran and has since established a reputation for efficient hospitality standards. In close proximity to the holy Shree Krishna Temple, Guruvayoor, the devotees have the best access to the temple at all times.
“A Mariyamma Bhagavathy temple is also located within our premises behind our building for those keen devout visitors. A monthly pooja is conducted as an offering to the Bhagavathy.”
The Hotel prides itself on its well maintained and comfortable rooms of various types to suit varying customer needs. With friendly service and close attention to customer satisfaction, we hope the darshan of Lord Guruvayoorapan will be a memorable one.

Enough to send photographs home and hold a video call.

On-site space for cars and tempo travellers, free for guests.
Someone is awake at 3 am, because that is when the temple opens.
Safe storage at the desk and CCTV in the common areas.
Rooms turned out every morning while you are at darshan.
Guruvayoor has no shortage of rooms. What it has less of is a house that remembers your family's name.
No auto, no parking hunt, no calling a driver at 3 am. Step out of the door, turn left, and you are at the eastern gate in four minutes.
A lift to every floor, grab-friendly bathrooms, ground-floor rooms held back for those who need them, and staff who will carry the bag without being asked.
Rooms for four and six, a ten-bed hall for groups, and extra bedding at no cost for children. Nobody sleeps in the corridor.
Many families book the temple and then look for a hall. Ours is downstairs — 150 seats, dining for 60, and rooms for the guests upstairs.
The rate on the board is the rate you pay. GST included, no service charge, no festival surprise at check-out.
A hall built for the way Guruvayoor weddings actually run — an early muhurtham, a hundred relatives, and a sadya that has to be served on time.
The desk keeps the current board and will wake you for Nirmalyam if you ask the night before.
Timings shift on Ekadashi, Vishu, Ashtami Rohini and during weddings and special poojas. Please confirm at the temple or with our front desk.
Most visitors come for one darshan and discover there are six more worth the morning. Distances from our door.

By custom the Guruvayur darshan is incomplete without this Shiva temple a kilometre north.

The temple's elephants, housed in an old palace compound. Best in the cool of the morning.

The great Shiva temple at the centre of Thrissur, and the ground of the Pooram.
No card, no deposit, no booking fee. Send the dates and the desk confirms by WhatsApp, usually within the hour.
