Since 1983

A Home that opens before the temple does.

Poornima was built for one kind of guest: the devotee who arrives tired, in the dark, and wants nothing more than a clean bed and a short walk to darshan.

Poornima Tourist Home

Poornima Tourist Home was founded in 1983 by the visionary entrepreneur Shri E.T.Somasundaran and has since established a reputation for efficient hospitality standards. In close proximity to the holy Shree Krishna Temple, Guruvayoor, the devotees have the best access to the temple at all times.

“A Mariyamma Bhagavathy temple is also located within our premises behind our building for those keen devout visitors. A monthly pooja is conducted as an offering to the Bhagavathy.”

The Hotel prides itself on its well maintained and comfortable rooms of various types to suit varying customer needs. With friendly service and close attention to customer satisfaction, we hope the darshan of Lord Guruvayoorapan will be a memorable one.

What we believe

Hospitality here is a form of service.

Guruvayoor runs on the rhythm of the sanctum. A hotel that ignores that rhythm makes the pilgrimage harder. So we work to it — early check-ins on darshan mornings, a desk at 3 am, and directions given by someone who has walked the route ten thousand times.

Come and see

The rooms are plainer than the photographs of most hotels. The welcome is not.
